Konflik Antar Terjemahan Alquran

1. “pemimpin” atau “teman”? Qs 5:51

  • Hai orang-orang yang beriman, janganlah kamu mengambil orang-orang Yahudi dan Nasrani menjadi pemimpin-pemimpin (mu); sebahagian mereka adalah pemimpin bagi sebahagian yang lain. Barangsiapa di antara kamu mengambil mereka menjadi pemimpin, maka sesungguhnya orang itu termasuk golongan mereka. Sesungguhnya Allah tidak memberi petunjuk kepada orang-orang yang zalim.
  • O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust. (Yusuf Ali)
  • O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people. (Shakir)
  • O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them. Lo! Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk. (Pickthal)

2. “-ku/my” (dengan huruf “k”/”m” kecil, untuk manusia) atau “-Ku/My” (dengan huruf “K”/”M” besar, untuk Tuhan) QS 39:53

  • Say: “O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah. for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Yusuf Ali)
  • Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful. (Shakir)
  • Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. (Pickthal)
  • Say: “O ‘Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: verily, Allah forgives all sins. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (M. Khan)
  • Katakanlah: “Hai hamba-hamba-Ku yang melampaui batas terhadap diri mereka sendiri, janganlah kamu berputus asa dari rahmat Allah. Sesungguhnya Allah mengampuni dosa-dosa semuanya. Sesungguhnya Dialah Yang Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Penyayang.

3. “Tiga (Tuhan)/ Tritheis” atau “Trinitas”? Qs 4:171

  • Wahai Ahli Kitab, janganlah kamu melampaui batas dalam agamamu , dan janganlah kamu mengatakan terhadap Allah kecuali yang benar. Sesungguhnya Al Masih, ‘Isa putera Maryam itu, adalah utusan Allah dan (yang diciptakan dengan) kalimat-Nya yang disampaikan-Nya kepada Maryam, dan (dengan tiupan) roh dari-Nya Maka berimanlah kamu kepada Allah dan rasul-rasul-Nya dan janganlah kamu mengatakan: “(Tuhan itu) tiga“, berhentilah (dari ucapan itu). (Itu) lebih baik bagimu. Sesungguhnya Allah Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, Maha Suci Allah dari mempunyai anak, segala yang di langit dan di bumi adalah kepunyaan-Nya. Cukuplah Allah sebagai Pemelihara.
  • O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not “Three” – Cease! (it is) better for you! – Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender. (Pickthal)
  • O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not “Trinity” : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. (Yusuf Ali)

4. Past Tense atau Present Tense? Qs 4:47

  • O ye People of the Book! believe in what We have (now) revealed, confirming what was (already) with you, … (Yusuf Ali)
  • You who have been given the Book, believe in what We have sent down, confirming what is with you(Arberry)
  • O ye unto whom the Scripture hath been given! Believe in what We have revealed confirming that which you possess(Pickthal)
  • O ye unto whom the Scripture hath been given! Believe in what We have revealed confirming that which you possess(Shakir)

5. “Malaikat/Angel” (tunggal) atau “Para Malaikat/Angels” (jamak)? Qs 3:42

  • Dan (ingatlah) ketika Malaikat (Jibril) berkata: “Hai Maryam, sesungguhnya Allah telah memilih kamu, mensucikan kamu dan melebihkan kamu atas segala wanita di dunia (yang semasa dengan kamu).
  • Behold! the angels said: “O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations. (Yusuf Ali)
  • And when the angels said: O Marium! surely Allah has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the world. (Shakir)

6. “Mesir” atau “suatu kota/negeri” (yang bisa Mesir bisa bukan)? Qs 2:61

  • Go down to Egypt, where you can find what you asked for. (Khalifa)
  • Come down to Egypt where you will get what you asked for. (Majid Fakhry)
  • Go down into Egypt, there you shall find all that you have asked. (Hassan Qaribullah & Ahmad Darwish)
  • Go down to Egypt,- there is what ye ask. (Palmer)
  • Get ye down into Egypt; – for ye shall have what ye have asked (Rodwell)
  • Go you down to any town and you shall find what you want! (M. Khan)
  • Enter a city, so you will have what you ask for. (Shakir)
  • Go down to settled country, thus ye shall get that which ye demand. (Pickthal)

7. “keluarga” atau “keturunan”? Qs 52:21 [Y. Ali + Pickthal + Indo]

  • And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith,- to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds. (Yusuf Ali)
  • And they who believe and whose seed follow them in faith, We cause their seed to join them (there), and We deprive them of nought of their (life’s) work. Every man is a pledge for that which he hath earned. (Pickthal)
  • Dan orang-orang yang beriman, dan yang anak cucu mereka mengikuti mereka dalam keimanan, Kami hubungkan anak cucu mereka dengan mereka , dan Kami tiada mengurangi sedikitpun dari pahala amal mereka. Tiap-tiap manusia terikat dengan apa yang dikerjakannya.
